Corporate
social responsibility (CSR) refers to an organization’s commitment to operate
ethically within social communities. CSR refers specifically to a business
enterprise’s responsibilities towards all stakeholders, but not merely
stockholders in managing its business.
The WBCSD’s (World Business Council for Sustainable Development)
definition of CSR is as follows: corporate social responsibility is the
continuing commitment by business to contribute to economic development while
improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the community and society at large.
Ta
Ya adopts the fundamental concept of making contributions to the society in
return for what the company benefits from it. We are actively involved in
activities that are beneficial for the social environment such as: engaging in
green production and providing high-quality products, while complying with the
local and international environmental protection regulations; carrying out
environmental monitoring to accomplish the goals of making continual improvements and preventing pollution.
On the dimension of product development, the
company is dedicated to the research and development of green products. We have
introduced the latest zero-pollution “in-line” production line for the
production of enamelled wires and is the first wire and cable manufacturer in Taiwan being
accredited to the ISO/TS 16949 standards. The company has also developed
special wires which are halogen free, low-smoke, environmentally friendly and highly safe.
In
relation to internal management, Ta Ya is committed to creating an
electronic
environment for paperless transmission and communication of internal
information. We make our e-Catalogues available on the official website
for customers to browse in order to reduce the use of hard-copy
catalogues.
Ta Ya is actively involved in the various charitable events to make our contributions to the society and better living. |
