Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to a company’s adherence to socially acceptable standards concerning its behavior. It refers to a corporation’s responsibility to all stakeholders in its business practices rather than being responsible only to the stockholders. According to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD): CSR is a company’s commitment to ethical behavior, contribution to economic development as well as making improvements to the quality of life for employees, their families, the local community and overall society.

To give back to the community is a basic ideal at Ta Ya. Ta Ya is actively involved in a variety of activities beneficial to the environment. In our manufacturing operations we emphasize eco-manufacturing in order to provide high-quality products while conforming to government and international environmental protection regulations. We have also implemented environmental monitoring to realize our goals of continual improvements and pollution prevention.

In our research and development efforts we also emphasize research into green products. We introduced the latest zero-pollution in-line production line for our enameled wire products and became the first ISO/TS 16949 certified electrical wire and cabling manufacturer in Taiwan. We have also developed special low-smoke halogen free cabling that delivers both a high level of environmental friendliness and safety.

Ta Ya is dedicated to the computerization of our internal operations, with all internal information processing and communication now moving towards a paper-free environment. This includes the provision of electronic catalogs in our sales operations that our customers can view online, reducing the demand for paper-based catalogs.

At Ta Ya, we aim to lead by example. We are actively involved in a variety of charitable events that give back to the community to create a better society and make contributions to the human race.
