Vice
President Siew Presents 1st Taiwan Green Classics Award;
Chairman Shen of Ta Ya Unveils Vision for Green Wire
Vice
President Vincent Siew attended the opening ceremony of the
“Green Lifestyle
and Trade Week of 2001” event on the 26th
and presented the “Taiwan Green
Classics Award” to19 distinguished Taiwanese enterprises
committed to green
principles. Ta Ya Electric Wire & Cable Group’s
“600V environmental cables”
won distinctions from all sectors, greatly demonstrating Ta
Ya’s “green
competitiveness.” Vice President Siew personally presented the Green Classics award to Chairman Shen and thanks Ta Ya Electric Wire & Cable Group’s commitment in developing green technologies and increasing Taiwan’s capabilities to develop green trade. Vice President Siew indicated that, “In 2015, green trade will become a trillion dollar industry. As an award winner today, Ta Ya Electric Wire & Cable is a leader in this trillion dollar industry who invested remarkable effort to win this distinction.” He also hoped that Ta Ya Electric Wire & Cable Group will lead others in the industry to transform Taiwan from a major global player in Information Technology (IT) to a leading nation on Energy Technology (ET). Chairman Shen was grateful for Vice President Siew’s appreciation, and also praised Ta Ya’s employees for their commitment to green technologies. He said, “This award verifies that our long term commitment on green technologies is an extremely sound business strategy. In the future, Tainan will become an exemplary low carbon city, and as a representative of Tainan’s local green industry, Ta Ya must use its award winning Green Wire to connect all of Tainan’s roads. The billion dollar green industry is already within reach.
