Founded over 60 years ago, Ta Ya Group sets its new Group vision as “becoming a leading brand in energy connection, a creator of harmonious environment and pristine homeland.” While building the enterprise for sustainable management, it also fulfills its duty as a world citizen and does its utmost to safeguard the Planet Earth.
Founded in 1955, Ta Ya Group has been investing deeply in Taiwan, while constructing production bases in China and Vietnam. Sixty years later, the Group has gradually diversified from regular wires manufacturing to magnet wires, high-voltage electric cables, solar power plants and even venture capital. It has also established an extensive record of ‘being the first’ in Taiwan’s wires and cables sector, including being the first Taiwan Power Company-certified provider for 69KV high-voltage, 161KV super-high-voltage and 345KV ultra-high-voltage electric cables; the first to obtain the Carbon Footprint Label; the first to release the CSR report; the first foreign-owned company to be listed in the Vietnamese stock market; and the first to establish a foundation with a vision to promote a “Pristine Homeland.” In the 2015 and 2016 Corporate Governance Evaluation conducted by the Financial Supervisory Commission, Ta Ya Group was ranked among the top 20% stock-listed companies.
Ta Ya is well credited for its long-standing efforts in implementing a green enterprise and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Indeed, Ta Ya has transformed its Earth protecting intention into actual action of product development. Ta Ya is the first company in Taiwan’s wires and cables sector to produce entirely lead-free products, it is also the first to invest R&D in low-smoke halogen-free environmentally-friendly power cables (Green Wires), and it was honored with the Taiwan Green Classics Award for corporations. Ta Ya’s Green Wires have equipped Taiwan’s first zero-carbon architecture, The Magic School of Green Technologies, with green nerves and further turned The Magic School of Green Technologies into the Green Inside foundation’s classic green architectural example.
Via the Magnet Wire Business Group, Ta Ya actively develops green energy and environmentally-friendly products, such as Enameled Copper Wires for Inver-Fed Driven Motors, which have been widely applied in electric automobiles and electric scooters. In a bid to fulfill its duty as a world citizen, Ta Ya has recently developed magnet wires such as the Magnet-Conducting Enameled Wire (M-*R) and Thermal-Dissipation Enameled Wire (TD-*R) that can reduce the energy consumption/waste caused by traditional magnet wires. Further, seeing the rise of environmental awareness and green technology, and for the purpose of smart energy saving, the most decisive key factor is to rely on the partnership of the semiconductor and software businesses. Since 2006, Ta Ya has diversified into the semiconductor supply chain and provides wires for wire bonding assembly with the highest prevalence to help clients lower production costs, so that the end products can be sold at reasonable prices and the benefits of smart green technologies can be further accessible to consumers.
Ta Ya Group has extended from being the energy connector to being the energy provider and server. Ta Ya has so far developed solar power, offshore wind power, wave activated power generation, as well as specially manufactured electric cables. Ta Ya has also set up Ta Ya Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., (for installation) and the Touch Solar Power (a power plant) for investment in the solar power generation business. The future prospect is to upgrade the current 8MW power plant to the 10MW per year and 50MW for five years, an objective in active echo of the Government’s nuclear-free vision by 2025.
Not only are its products going green, but the projects launched by the Construction Business Group under the Ta Ya Group have also placed much emphasis on energy saving and carbon reduction. For instance, the Ta Ya Green Residence, a terrace house construction project in the re-development zone in Tainan’s Daqiao area, comes with major highlights in the garden landscapes, expansive green canopies, and the hallways in the courtyard are also built with water-permeable treatment to lower the Heat Island Effect and to comply with the ‘great house’ standards in its energy-saving and carbon-reducing features.

Ta Ya Group is discovering, via its Pristine Homeland foundation, more creative thinking and projects that are friendly to the environment and that reduce carbon consumption. Ta Ya implements green concepts in real life applications with assistance in order to create low-carbon, sustainable and blissful environments. Ta Ya hosted the Delonix Regia Forum, where eco-environment specialists were invited to give talks.
