K. K. Orchard Guanmiao Plant Begins Construction, Promoting Local Development and Guaranteeing the Income of Farmers

    K. K. Orchard, an investment by Ta Ya Group, is one of the most representational corporations in Tainan. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 8th at the Guanmiao construction site. Chairman Shen, Shang-Hung and Executive Vice President Shen, Shang-Tao of Ta Ya Group and President Chen, Chin-Pao of AD Engineering attended the event.
    Chairman Chiu, Mu-Cheng of K. K. Orchard gave a speech saying that K. K. Orchard is not only the first production and sales class to pass the carbon footprint certification, it also has a area of over 10,000,000 m2 (more than 1/10 of the sweet potato farming land area in Taiwan). There was a business breakthrough in 2010, partnered up with Family Mart to make “Hang Sweet Potato”. This made Family Mart into the largest sweet potato retail chain in Taiwan, successfully setting new sales and diet models for sweet potatoes. At the same time, K. K. Orchard also has its own retail and online stores. The products are diverse, allowing the sweet potatoes planted by hardworking farmers to be “fully utilized”.
    The Guanmiao plant has an estimated area of approximately 26, 446.28 m2, including farmland, plant facilities, and tourism plants. After completion, the operations scale of K. K. Orchard will greatly improve, increasing international cooperation, job opportunity, and promoting tourism, which will further guarantee the income of farmers.
