In its 62nd year, Ta Ya’s long-term cultivation in the wires & cables sector has been yielding fruit. Its newly established energy business is experiencing a drastic rise in construction capacity aligned with the new government’s comprehensive push for new renewable energy policies. The overall operation this year is looking quite favorable.
In 2014, within five years of the founding of Ta Ya Green Energy Technology, Ta Ya has reached the target of 50MW construction capacity. In 2015, Ta Ya’s Guanmiao Headquarters was the first to reach the 2.89MW construction capacity on the manufacturing plant’s rooftops. By the end of 2017, it is expected to reach an accumulated 20.3MW, in line with the renewable energy policy of reaching the 20% target by 2025. In addition, regarding intermittent energy such as solar power and wind, Ta Ya has formed an alliance with companies from different sectors to pool capital in establishing USESYS, targeting the energy storage and system integration market. It is the only energy storage company in Taiwan capable of handling the disused batteries of electric vehicles. It not only brings the power battery to its second phase of life but also tackle the tough issue of persistently high cost of energy storage system batteries. In the future, Ta Ya will expand towards the renewable energy and Micro-Grid market in Southeast Asia based on its Taiwan experience and in response to the New Southbound Policy.
Besides creating and storing energy, conserving energy is also an indispensable part of green energy. Targeting the favorable commercial opportunities of high-efficiency motors, Ta Ya worked with several companies in relevant sectors to set up the AMIT system service LTD specializing in motors and solenoid valves design and electromechanical integration. Ta Ya works under the ethos of “Design for Manufacturing” to compensate for the weakness of insufficient research capabilities in Taiwan’s small and medium sized electronic engineering industry, thereby ensuring optimal cost and quality for customers’ mass production and further enhance the international competitiveness.
Ta Ya’s Guanmiao Headquarter being close to the Shalun Green Energy Science City is to take part in the Joint Research Center for Green Technology & Green Technology Demonstration Site and collaborate with the industries, government, and the academia in Taiwan to promote the industry development of domestic green energy.
