Circular Economy

The circular economy is one of the Group’s key strategic priorities. We are committed to reducing waste generation and increasing material recycling and reuse rates, transitioning toward zero waste and resource circularity.

Use of Recycled Materials

TAYA Group has begun using recycled materials in both metal and plastic raw materials. For copper materials, Da Zhan’s recycled copper SCR 8mm bare copper wire, recycled copper ingots, and recycled phosphor copper balls all partially use recycled copper and have obtained ISO 14021 recycled content verification, while copper ingots and phosphor copper balls have also obtained UL 2809 recycled content verification; for plastic materials, the Telecommunications Business Group reuses PVC process waste as recycled material in production. In 2023, the total amount of recycled materials used by TAYA Group was 1,548 metric tons, accounting for 1.73% of the total raw material consumption.
Under the global trend of recycled material usage, enameled wire customers and fiber optic cable customers have closely monitored the Company’s recycled material usage volume and ratio since 2023. The Company will track customer requirements and increase the proportion of recycled materials used in its products to maintain product competitiveness and implement environmental sustainability.

Resource Circulation

TAYA Group actively implements resource circulation and has long adopted waste recycling and reuse measures to reduce resource consumption. The Group implements circular reuse of materials including process scrap copper wire, waste wires and cables, waste PVC materials, waste solvents, plastic spools and other packaging materials, which are processed in-house or by qualified vendors before being reintroduced into production. In the Enameled Wire Business Group, measures currently implemented include scrap bare copper wire recycling, waste solvent recovery and reuse, and packaging material recycling and reuse. In 2023, 66.7 metric tons of plastic spools used as packaging materials were recycled, 124.9 metric tons of pallets were recycled, and 9.7 metric tons of waste solvents were recovered.
In the Telecommunications Business Group, PVC waste generated during the wire and cable production process is recycled and reprocessed into secondary material, which is reused as filler material for multi-core cables and reintroduced into production, while waste cables generated from the process are entrusted to recycling companies for physical processing into scrap copper wire, which is then returned to Da Zhan for remelting and reprocessing.
