In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Ta Ya Electric Wire and Cable, the company hosted a celebration event last Saturday (October 31) at Guanmiao headquarter, Tainan. The event started off with a dragon dance that was symbolic to Ta Ya's 60-year old brand - "Dragon."

Unlike previous celebrations, Ta Ya Group chose to celebrate its 60th anniversary in the form of a Family Day carnival, where employees, family members and local residents were all invited to participate. The event also included a charity auction. Several prominent figures including Tainan City Mayor Lai Ching-Te, Tayih Group CEO Wu Chun-Yi (member of Yi Tsai Club Tainan), Ton Yang Industrial Chairman Wu Yung-Feng, Poya International Chairman Chen Jian-Zao, FCS Group Chairman Wang Po-Hsun, and Sun Yad Technology Chairman Chang Yo-Ming were all present to bear witness to this significant day.

Ta Ya Group Chairman Shen Shang-Hung said in his speech that the company started as an ordinary wire manufacturer in 1995. Over time, it gradually expanded into magnet wires, power cables, copper materials, metals, plastics, solar power plants, and even venture capital. Location-wise, the company has expanded its presence into Hong Kong, China, and Vietnam. As a cable manufacturer, the company claimed many "No. 1" titles in the local industry, including: the first to be certified by Taiwan Power Company for the supply of 69KV, 161KV and 345KV extra high voltage cables, the first to voluntarily adopt lead-free production for all cable products, the first to publish CSR report, the first foreign company to list for trading in Vietnam, and the first cable manufacturer to establish a foundation that is dedicated to environmental protection and building pristine homeland.

Shen Shang-Hung said that companies exist not only to maximize benefits for shareholders and employees, but for customers and the society as well. He then hoped for Ta Ya group to become "a leading brand for new energy, a creator of harmonious environment and pristine homeland, and a business trusted by employees, customers, shareholders, and society" over the next 60 years.During the celebration, Tainan City Mayor Lai Ching-Te thanked Ta Ya Group for its contribution in the last 60 years, and for creating job opportunities and engaging actively in charity. Ta Ya is undoubtedly the pride of Tainan and Taiwan.

TAYA Pristine Homeland, a foundation established by Ta Ya Group, held its 4th annual Delonix Regia Forum yesterday (the 1st), during which it made its first screening of the documentary film - "Environmental Friendly Professional" and hosted a conference that gave participants a more thorough understanding about sustainable life and environmental friendliness.
