Having recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, Ta Ya Electric Wire and Cable now plans to pursue a green economy characterized by environmental protection, green energy, and sustainability for the next 60 years, starting with renewable energy sources such as solar power and wind power. In the next 5 years, the company plans to build solar capacity totaling 50MW, and set a new milestone achievement for Ta Ya's presence in the solar energy business.

Vice President Chuang, Pa Kuei of Ta Ya's Energy & Telecom Cable Business Group said that Ta Ya has long been devoted to "building a pristine homeland" by adopting lead-free cable production. Motivated by the sustainable features of renewable energy, the company founded "Ta Ya Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd." in early 2014 that specializes in the construction of solar energy systems at suitable rooftops or locations. The solution has already been installed at: library of University of Kang Ning, a renowned technology company, and Ta Ya's Guanmiao Site. The company expects to increase total installed system capacity to 15MW by the end of 2016.

Ta Ya's Green Wire (environmental-friendly cable) won the Green Classics Award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2011. Featuring low-smoke and halogen-free characteristics, the Green Wire represents the pride of the nation and builds Ta Ya its environmental-friendly image. In addition, Ta Ya committed significant resources and was able to develop a comprehensive series of fiber optic cables used by Chunhwa Telecom, which contributed to the construction of fiber broadband infrastructure while reducing wastage and contributing to environmental protection at the same time. For this reason, Ta Ya became Chunghwa Telecom's first CSR-compliant cable supplier, a status that earned the company a higher market share.

Ta Ya has the most complete product portfolio among local cable manufacturers, and is the only one capable of offering extra high voltage cables, telecommunication cables, and magnet wires. It is also the first local supplier to be certified and make actual deliveries of 69KV, 161KV and 345KV cables to Taiwan Power Company. Essentially, Ta Ya has helped Taiwan Power Company in the delivery of top-quality power supply and engineering services for the Taiwanese people. While raising the bar for Taiwan's cable industry, Ta Ya also began a "carbon tracing project" with its suppliers, hoping to establish itself as the most trusted cable manufacturer in Taiwan.

According to Chuang, Pa Kuei, Ta Ya has been actively supporting the government's policy to "construct rooftop solar energy systems by the millions, and wind power generators by the thousands" in recent years. The group is optimistic about the potentials of renewable energy, which is why party from EPC to Ta Ya Group is actively investing into renewable energy as a solution to corporate social responsibility, sustainable homeland, and a carbon-less environment.
