Ta Ya Vietnam Won National Quality Gold Award　A Recognition for the Long-standing Business

       Ta Ya (Viet Nam) Electric Wire & Cable Joint Stock Company won the 2013 National Quality Gold Award in Vietnam, making it the first foreign-owned cable manufacturer to receive this honor. The award ceremony took place in the morning of March 16 at Hanoi City Ministry of Defense hall, where Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam personally presented this award to Chairman Shen Shang-Pang.

       The National Quality Award is a highly respected event in Vietnam; not only was the award ceremony broadcast on TV, several prominent figures including Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, and Prime Minister's technology and craftsmanship appointee Huang Wenfeng were also present at the ceremony. To qualify for entry, a business must have won the gold award in a provincial quality award. The National Quality Award is divided into two main sectors: manufacturing and service. Each sector is further divided between large corporation and small and medium enterprise.

       For three consecutive years (2011,2012, 2013), Ta Ya Dong Nai Site has claimed the most prestigious "Gold Award" from Dong Nai Province Chamber of Technology, which paved way for the company's winning of the National Quality Gold Award this year. Chairman Shen was utterly impressed about this achievement. He then encouraged employees to continue their pursuit for "ongoing improvements, mutual benefits, pragmatism, and innovation" to serve local and foreign companies better.

       Ta Ya (Vietnam) is an overseas subsidiary of Ta Ya Group. It built its first factory in Vietnam back in 1994, and was listed for trading in 2006. For 20 years, the subsidiary bore witness to Vietnam's economic growth, and has progressively expanded its portfolio. From medium/low voltage cables to magnet wires, the subsidiary has adhered to top quality production, fulfilled its duties as a corporate citizen, adopted the use of RoHS-compliant materials, and launched new lead-free (LF) series. Furthermore, the subsidiary offers annual scholarships to the local community as part of its corporate social responsibility actions.
