Ta Ya’s Deep Cultivation in Southeast Asia Received State Recognition [Economic Daily News]

Taya (Vietnam) Electric Wire and Cable Co., Ltd. was honored with the 2016 National Quality Gold Award, the first among the foreign-owned wire and cable companies to have received such an honor. The National Quality Gold Award is held in high regard by the Vietnamese Government, it is deemed as a supreme award category sought after by many competitors and judged over by super high selection standards. The award ceremony took place in the morning of April 2 at the Grand Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Defense in Hanoi. Xu Jingyiao, Associate General Manager of the Hai Duong plant, received the award on behalf of Ta Ya.
Xu Jingyiao, Associate General Manager, stated, “Ta Ya (Vietnam) received its first National Quality Gold Award in 2013 and again this year. This evidently shows that our entire staff are capable of manifesting our management ethos: “Continuous Improvements,” “Mutual Benefits,” Pragmatism” and “Innovation and Changes;” everyone in the company all work collectively to shape Ta Ya into an enterprise that employees, customers, shareholders and the society can trust.
Ta Ya (Vietnam) is an overseas subsidiary company of the Ta Ya Group, it set up factories in Dong Nai in 1994 and then in Hai Duong in 2003. It was listed on the Vietnamese stock market in 2006, it was the first wholly foreign-owned company in Vietnam to do so. Twenty years later, as the Vietnamese economy develops, Ta Ya’s product range also expands, covering LV and MV electric wires and cables and enamel magnet wires. Ta Ya has not only maintained its product quality but also sufficiently fulfilled its responsibilities as a corporate citizen, while adopting RoHS-compliant materials and launching lead-free cables. In addition, Ta Ya also offers annual scholarships to the communities, in a bid to deliver its corporate social responsibility.
Government officials such as Zhou Yuying, Minister for Science and Technology in Vietnam, and Juan Hungyen, Chairman & Vice Secretary General of the Thái Bình Province, attended the award ceremony together. In a time when the (Taiwanese) Government is promulgating the New Southbound Policy, Ta Ya Group has Vietnam as its production base and provides products of the best quality, while actively developing ASEAN markets, such as Myanmar and Laos.
