Shinfox Energy, together with its subsidiary Fox Forest Natural Resources and National Chung Hsing University, jointly promotes Taiwan's first large-scale natural carbon sequestration new afforestation project. Ta Ya Group has adopted 3.78 hectares of land in this initiative.
Energy chain leader Ta Ya Group has long focused on environmental sustainability and participates in the "National Land Revitalization and Domestic Carbon Credit Demonstration Zone" promoted by the National Property Administration, Ministry of Finance. Through Shinfox Energy's acquisition of approximately 71.98 hectares of national land in Taitung Chishang from the National Property Administration in 2024, and in partnership with its subsidiary Fox Forest Natural Resources and National Chung Hsing University, they jointly promote Taiwan's first large-scale natural carbon sequestration new afforestation project. Ta Ya Group has adopted 3.78 hectares of land in this initiative, demonstrating the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and encouraging more enterprises and the general public to jointly protect this land through concrete actions.
Today (12th), Ta Ya Group General Administration Division General Manager Chen Chong-Guang led a team to Taitung Chishang to participate in the demonstration zone tree-planting activity. The demonstration zone covers a total area of 71.98 hectares, with plans to plant approximately 130,000 saplings. It is expected to produce 21,600 tons of natural carbon sequestration within 20 years and produce 40,000 cubic meters of domestic timber. Ta Ya Group has adopted 3.78 hectares of land and will undertake 20 years of afforestation and cultivation work, planting high-efficiency carbon-fixing native tree species such as Taiwan Zelkova, Chinese Ash Tree, Acacia, Chinese Pistache, Sweet Gum, and Taiwan Ebony, fully supporting ecological conservation and actively promoting net-zero emission goals.
