Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini Leads Delegation to Visit Taya Group's Zhiguang Energy Agrivoltaics Project
Taya Group Showcases Taiwan's Achievements in Green Energy Development



During his official visit to Taiwan, H.E. Russell Dlamini, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini, led a delegation to Tainan to visit Zhiguang Energy's aquavoltaics project, developed by Taya Group. The visit provided firsthand insight into Taiwan's achievements in renewable energy development while facilitating exchanges on renewable energy, sustainable development, and future industrial collaboration.

The delegation was jointly received by Mr. Po-Kuei Chuang, General Manager of Taya Green Energy, and Ms. Hsiao-Yen Chou, General Manager of Hycon Technology. During the visit, they introduced the project's planning concept, operational model, and the collaborative achievements between Taya Group and Hycon Technology in renewable energy, grid integration, and aquavoltaics, demonstrating Taiwan's practical accomplishments in energy transition, power grid development, and sustainable aquaculture integrated with solar energy.

Mr. Po-Kuei Chuang stated that Taya Group has long been committed to the energy industry. Guided by its corporate philosophy of "Connect," the Group continues to invest in renewable energy development, power grid infrastructure, and smart energy integration. Through its aquavoltaics projects, Taya Group promotes green energy generation while supporting diversified land use and local community prosperity, actively fulfilling its commitment to corporate sustainability. He expressed hope that the visit would enable international guests to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan's green energy achievements and further strengthen cooperation in renewable energy, power grid infrastructure, and sustainable development.



During the visit, the delegation received a briefing on the planning, operational management, and local partnership model of the Zhiguang Energy aquavoltaics project. They also toured the site to observe its design concept, aquaculture operations, and photovoltaic system. The delegation was highly impressed by Taiwan's achievements in energy transition, sustainable land utilization, and regional industrial development, and expressed strong recognition of the aquavoltaics model for successfully balancing renewable energy generation, aquaculture, and environmental sustainability.

A notable highlight of the project is its 23.3 MW solar-plus-storage system, the largest of its kind in Taiwan at the time of installation. During the April 3, 2024 Hualien Earthquake, when Taiwan's power grid experienced a sudden frequency drop, the system played a critical role in stabilizing the electricity supply. This outstanding demonstration of renewable energy resilience attracted significant interest from the Eswatini delegation, who expressed their intention to explore future cooperation following the visit. The project also exemplifies the successful partnership between Taya Group and Hycon Technology in advancing renewable energy development while creating shared value for local communities.



Taya Group stated that the visit by the Eswatini delegation not only showcased Taiwan's progress in the green energy sector but also further strengthened bilateral exchanges in renewable energy, sustainable development, and industrial cooperation. Looking ahead, Taya Group will continue leveraging its expertise in the energy industry to work with partners in advancing the net-zero transition and sustainable development. Through technological exchange and industrial collaboration, the Group aims to create a sustainable future that balances environmental, social, and economic value while laying a stronger foundation for future green energy cooperation between Taiwan and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
