As a leading brand in energy connectivity, TAYA GROUP has long been committed to creating social impact through steady and reliable support, with ongoing efforts in education, culture, and sustainable development. Guided by its vision of fostering an environmentally friendly future and building beautiful communities together, the Group continues to promote initiatives that benefit society.
In 2025, as TAYA GROUP approached its 70th anniversary, the Group invited the Hualien County Youth Pan Flute Ensemble to perform. The children’s pure and heartfelt melodies deeply moved Chairman Shen, who expressed his hope to help the young musicians step onto international stages in the future, allowing the ensemble to showcase its musical talent to the world.
In 2026, TAYA GROUP once again extended its support to the ensemble and, for the first time, sponsored the children’s trip to Vienna, Austria, to participate in the “2026 Second European Taiwanese Cultural Year” series of events. This marks the ensemble’s debut on the international stage, using music to convey the richness and warmth of Taiwanese culture to global audiences.
TAYA as a Steadfast Force Connecting Dreams
During the departure ceremony, the Hualien County Youth Pan Flute Ensemble performed Love of Taroko and Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music. The graceful melodies reflected the local spirit of Hualien and the youthful energy of the performers, while also demonstrating the children’s confidence and passion as they step onto the world stage through music.

Chairman Shen of TAYA GROUP stated: “I firmly believe that TAYA’s mission goes beyond connecting energy as a force for stable development. We also aspire to become a driving force that connects dreams within society.”
He explained that the Group’s support for the ensemble stems from the belief that music can transform lives — helping children pursue their dreams courageously, overcome challenges, and spread their wings toward the future. He further emphasized that sponsorship is not a one-time act, but rather an extension of the company’s core values and a concrete expression of TAYA’s steady and dependable strength.
Looking ahead, TAYA GROUP will continue to uphold its ESG principles by investing in long-term and impactful sustainability initiatives. The Group aims to support Taiwan’s younger generation in exploring their potential across music, arts, sports, and other fields, while building a sustainable ecosystem of shared prosperity through stable and meaningful action.
Music Director Laura Chang , who has accompanied the Hualien County Youth Pan Flute Ensemble for over 10 years, played a key role in facilitating the collaboration between TAYA GROUP and the ensemble. She shared that Chairman Shen has consistently shown genuine concern for the students’ musical education, actively asking how he could help during every discussion. His dedication to educational and cultural development has become an important source of support for the children as they pursue their dreams.
When Chairman Shen learned of the opportunity for the students to perform overseas, he immediately expressed his support and promised to help make their dreams come true — even planning to travel to Vienna personally to attend the performance. The ensemble has also been invited to perform at St. Peter’s Church in Vienna, Austria, as TAYA GROUP continues to support children from rural areas in pursuing their aspirations through concrete action.
The Pan Flute as a Bridge to the Future
Li Kuo-Ming, Vice Director of the Hualien County Youth Pan Flute Ensemble and Principal of Chung Cheng Elementary School, stated: “The pan flute is more than just an instrument; it is an important bridge leading children toward the future. Through music, they learn to express themselves confidently and dare to imagine life stages they once never thought possible. We are deeply grateful to TAYA GROUP for giving these children the opportunity to perform in Vienna, the City of Music, and bring Taiwan’s unique cultural warmth and local spirit to the international music stage.”
Eighteen-year-old Lin Hong-Zhi has studied the pan flute for eight years. He shared that music gave him opportunities he never imagined possible despite growing up in a financially challenged family. The pan flute also became his greatest companion through academic pressures. For him, the most unforgettable experience is the chance to travel to Vienna — a dream city he never imagined he could reach through music.
Along the journey, he has received support from many companies, elders, and especially teachers who have devoted themselves tirelessly to accompanying the students over the years. Learning that TAYA GROUP was willing to sponsor the ensemble’s journey to Europe filled him with gratitude and made his dream feel attainable. He hopes to express all his appreciation and blessings through the most touching pan flute melodies on the international stage.
Fourteen-year-old Hu Yong-Xin has studied the pan flute for six years. She said that since first picking up the instrument in third grade, practice has become a natural part of her life. She is grateful to her teachers and mentors for guiding the students and giving them opportunities to perform at venues such as the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), Tainan Cultural Center, and Taipei Eslite Performance Hall, allowing them to witness their own growth through every performance.
Now, as the ensemble celebrates its 10th anniversary, TAYA GROUP’s sponsorship and support have enabled the students to cross borders and bring their music beyond Taiwan to Vienna, the City of Music. To her, this is not merely a performance, but a precious journey of dreams, growth, and honor.
