       〔Reporter Jun-Feng Wu/Report from Tainan〕The publicly listed company Taya Electric Wire & Cable which had heeded the call of Premier William Lai for pay raises in the private sector in mid-September showed its deep concern for education today by signing a cooperation agreement with Hsin Hua Vocational High School thereby initiating its first industry-academia alliance in an effort to give back to society. The company pledges to provide the school with wire materials of an annual value of NT$ 400, 000 for practical training and cultivation of new talent.

       The signing ceremony was held at the school. Mr. Chuang, Pa-Kuei, General Manager of Taya Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group led a delegation of key company executives. After signing the agreement and donating wire materials on behalf of the company he stated that the goal of this cooperation project was to benefit the school’s students, inject fresh blood into the industry, and create a win-win situation.
       Mr. Shi-Xian Guo, Director of the Production Division of Taya Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group, who witnessed the signing, pointed out that this is the first industry-academia cooperation project of the company. In the future, the program will be expanded to other cities and countries based on actual results to generate greater benefits for more vocational schools in Taiwan and fulfill the company’s corporate social responsibility.
       Hsin Hua Vocational High School Principal Chen,Chi-Tsung stated that the goal of this signing is to build a long-term cooperative relationship. Taya provides wire materials required by relevant departments for instruction, experiments, and national skills competition training. In the future, new employment opportunities will be created in an effort to retain young talent.
