        Taya Electric Wire & Cable signed a letter of intent for cooperation with National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School on November 7 agreeing to provide wires and cables required for instruction and experiments and participation of Hsin Hua students in National Skills Competition free of charge. The goal of this innovative CSR program is to benefit the students and constantly inject fresh blood into the industry.

       Taya Group has been deeply involved in local communities for over six decades through the provision of extra high voltage wire and cable products and a constant demand for outstanding technical personnel. In recent years, National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School has actively participated in competitive programs of the Ministry of Education. The school has achieved brilliant results in this area and serves as a cradle for the cultivation of base-level electromechanical talent in the greater Tainan area. However, the costs incurred by the annual purchase of wires and cables pose a significant burden on the school.
Mr. Chuang, Pa-Kuei, General Manager of Taya Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group and Mr. Chen,Chi-Tsung, principal of National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School, signed a Letter of Intent for Cooperation in the school on November 7. Taya will provide electric wires and cables for instruction and experiments as well as industrial and indoor wiring required for participation of students in national skills competitions and wire materials required for integrated skills training for three occupational categories free of charge. The total annual value of these materials is NT$ 400,000. Students of this school also receive assistance in visits to Taya Group affiliated enterprises.

       Mr. Chuang, Pa-Kuei pointed out that Taya Group has gradually expanded its product offerings over the past six decades from the production of generic electric wires to magnet wires, high voltage cables, solar power plants, 69KV high voltage, 161KV ultra high voltage, and 345KV extra high voltage cables. Taya is the first domestic manufacturer and supplier of electric wires and cables in Taiwan to pass the Taipower audits, acquire a carbon footprint label, and issue a CSR report. He reaffirmed that the company sincerely hopes that this innovative CSR action plan will create a win-win situation through industry-academia collaborations for the benefit of students.
       National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School was founded in 1926. In recent years, National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School has actively participated in competitive programs of the Ministry of Education such as Teacher Professional Development Evaluations, the Vocational School Actualization Program, Educational Resource Homogenization Program for Senior High and Vocational Schools, and the Senior High and Vocational Excellence Program, and has achieved impressive results in these areas. The school is deeply rooted in skills and vocational education and its efforts in this area have been widely recognized by locals.
       Mr. Ming-Jin Huang and Mr. Shi-Xian Guo, Director and Vice-Director of the Production Division of Taya Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group, Mr. Tai-Yuan Wang, Honorary Chairman of the Alumni Association of National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School, and Mr. Wei-Ren Lu, Chairman of the Parents’ Association attended as witnesses of the signing ceremony. Taya also pledges to expand the program to other cities and countries based on actual results to generate greater benefits for more vocational schools in Taiwan.
