       Chunghwa Telecom held a “2017 Supplier Exchange Conference” and a CDP Supply Chain Initiation Ceremony on the 15th . Taya Electric Wire & Cable has been deeply committed to the fulfillment of CSR and complete information transparency for many years. The company is the only electric wire and cable business in Taiwan that has been recognized as a supplier with excellent achievements in the field of CSR.
        Chunghwa Telecom President Sheih Chi-Mau personally presented the award to Mr. Ming-Chieh Wu, Chief Management Officer of Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group. President Sheih stated in his address that he was grateful for the individual efforts of all suppliers in the field of CSR and that there is a general consensus on the importance of sustainable operations. Following the initiation of the CDP supply chain management ceremony, greater emphasis was placed on carbon information disclosure of the whole supply chain. 
        Chief Management Officer Wu expressed his gratitude for the recognition by Chunghwa Telecom: “In 2013, Chunghwa Telecom presented awards to recognize excellent performance by suppliers in the field of CSR for the first time. Taya was one of the award recipients. Taya Group’s vision is to turn into a leading brand in the field of energy linkage, a promoter of eco-friendliness and a pristine homeland, and an enterprise trusted by employees, clients, shareholders, and society.”
        To raise the climate change awareness of suppliers and strengthen carbon management, Ms. Wan-Yu Song, CDP supply chain project manager, Mr. Qi-Ming Peng, President of Weather Risk Explore Inc., and Mr. Li-Wei Lin, Division Director of AU Optronics were invited to give keynote speeches.
        Climate change is an indispensable link in the pursuit of sustainable development by enterprises. Taya Group continues to promote emission reductions and has set itself the goal of reducing GHG emissions by 5% in 2020 compared to 2015. Taya has also carried out assessments of the risks and opportunities associated with climate change to meet the requirements of CDP supply chain management.
