Leading the World TAYA Group Advances into the Hybrid Energy Storage Micro-grid Market

        On August 22nd, the TAYA Group held the "TAYA Storage Energy Micro-grid System Activation Ceremony” at the Tainan Guanmiaoo Headquarter, invited many distinguished guests to the factory area to visit the live operations of the Storage Energy Micro-grid. Mr. Huang Wei-Che, Mayor of Tainan City, Mr. Wang, Ding-Yu, Member of the Legislative Yuan, Mr. Leu, Jang-Hwa, Director General of Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Ms. Guo A-Mei, Director General of Tainan City Government Economic Development Bureau were attending the Activation Ceremony.
       In the Speech of Mayor Huang Wei-Che, he mentioned that green energy and storage energy are just like two feet of a person, and the person cannot walk smoothly and stably without one foot. The development of storage energy has always been the goal of all countries. Thanks to TAYA for building the 600 Kilowatt-hour Storage Energy System in the early stages of Storage Energy Development as well as building the 2000kW Solar Energy in the Guanmiaoo Factory Area and constructing the Micro-grid with flash foresight, expecting Taiwan to be the country with a sound green energy development in the future with the advancement efforts by businesses.

       In response to the Government's policy objective of a Nuclear-free Homeland by 2025 and the reform of Taiwan's new Electricity Act, the TAYA Group built a 600-Kilowatt-hour and 200kW Storage Energy Micro-grid System at the Tainan Guanmiaoo Factory Area independently, mainly providing dispatch of electricity of the TAYA Guanmiaoo Factory Area in the short term, providing peak off-peak control, time schedule control, active dynamic demand control for the power consumption of the Factory Area and participating in the Taiwan Power Electricity Demand Bidding Platform. The long-term plan is to participate in the Electricity Purchase Services of Taiwan Power, to provide the use for the Taiwan Power dispatch of electricity when the spinning reserve of Taiwan Power is insufficient to avoid the crisis of regional blackouts.
       The Smart Energy Management System of the TAYA Storage Energy Micro-grid System integrates storage energy, power equipment, environmental control and grid information in one system to provide a comprehensive power regulation service for the Guanmiaoo Factory Area, including three control modes of manual control, time scheduling control, and dynamic demand control; manual control mode provides storage energy system performance adjustment and power dispatch requirements anytime and anywhere. Time scheduling control can control the storage energy micro-grid system according to the actual power consumption situation and power consumption curve of the factory area, to deliver power to the Factory Area grid or store in the Storage Energy System according to the scheduled arranged in advance to control the Storage Energy Micro-grid System. The dynamic demand control is an advanced power regulation technology to monitor the real time power consumption demand of the entire Factory according to the contract capacity setting signed with Taiwan Power, and control the storage energy micro-grid to deliver the electricity to the grid timely with proper capacity, to avoid the penalty from violating the contract. In addition, through the integration of the TAYA Smart Energy Management System, each sub-system can seamlessly cooperate with each other, for smooth operation of the system, and provides multiple levels of system protection measures.
       The Project is commissioned to the subsidiary Union Storage Energy System Ltd. who owns the global patent deployment to conduct the planning, implementation and construction meticulously, allowing the TAYA Group to be one of the few Taiwan companies to be capable of independently planning and building large-scale storage energy micro-grid systems.ˊ
        The TAYA Group has advanced into the Storage Energy Micro-grid market and is striving to be the leading brand of energy connection. In addition to its own wire and cable business, TAYA has also invested in industries of steam and power cogeneration, solar power plants and electrochemical storage energy systems.
