Industries around the world are faced with the challenge of achieving net zero emissions, thus making energy transformation an important issue that needs to be addressed urgently. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the key to achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 lies in the comprehensive adjustment of energy production, transportation, and use. TAYA Group, a leading brand in energy connection that is dedicated to the promotion of a friendly environment and a beautiful homeland, is deeply invested in the field of renewable energy. On October 1, 2022, Bo Yao Power, a subsidiary of the TAYA Group, signed a green power transfer contract with Delta Electronics, a global leader in power supply and thermal management solutions. Bo Yao plans to use its solar power generation facilities to transfer regenerative energy to Delta where the annual power generation is estimated to reach 36 million kWh. The active assistance of Bo Yao will enable Delta to achieve the goal set by RE100 before 2030, and will be the beginning of a strong relationship between the two, helping shape the future of sustainable development together.

Intelligent Management and Energy Sharing as Most Ideal Solutions in Achieving Net Zero Transformation by 2050

In line with global energy transition, the Ministry of Economics Affairs has simultaneously issued an energy development guideline which states that Taiwan will allocate more resources to the fight to reduce the proportion of energy with high carbon emissions and to achieve the goal of 20% renewable energy power generation by 2050. “The demand for energy dispatching and its applications are increasing, and intelligent management and resource sharing will maintain stability through the substantial changes to Taiwan's energy environment. As a leading brand in energy connection, TAYA is committed to building a complete service chain from energy generation, transmission, and conversion to storage and management. This feat will be the beginning of our industry’s journey on its way to complete deployment within the green power industry. Aside from fully responding to the government’s energy development policy, this will also establish a complete service chain for energy solutions, such as energy creation and green power trading,” said Shen Shang-Hung, Chairman of TAYA Group.

The Joining of Forces to Better Our Homeland

In 2021, Delta Electronics officially joined RE100, a global renewable electricity initiative, to commit itself to the goals of using 100% renewable electricity and becoming carbon neutral by 2030. In response to the demand for renewable power in Delta’s operating bases, a green power transfer contract was signed between Delta and Bo Yao Power, a subsidiary of TAYA Group, which will use its solar power generation facilities to transfer an estimated annual 36 million kWh over to Delta. The power supply site is the 76 MW solar power plant in Syujia District, Tainan, owned by Sin Jhong Solar Power, a subsidiary of TAYA Group. It is the country’s first ground-mounted solar power plant approved for private large-scale land changes. Hengs Technology, a company affiliated with TAYA Group, is responsible for integration and construction, and will equip the site with a self-built external booster station with a total installation capacity of about 76 MW and an area of 76 hectares. As a leader in renewable energy, TAYA Group adheres to the spirit of “do it early, and it will come naturally,” and this established the green energy committees “Bao Yao Power” and “TAYA Energy Storage Technology” to guide its shift toward the new business of green power sales and energy storage, while actively developing innovative energy solutions. Beyond the continuous development, growth, and operation of suitable photovoltaic project sites, TAYA Group also looks to expand the scale of its business through the integration of a complete energy storage supply chain, the selling of green electricity, and upholding of the quality and efficiency of the power transfers. TAYA Group is also continuously looking to establish partnerships with different industries to obtain mutual benefits, symbiosis, and prosperity for all of Taiwan.
