Taya Group Joins with Bank SinoPac to Invest in Taiwan's Green Future Deeply Cultivating Energy Chain Management to Create Taiwan's Largest Solar and Storage Integrated Facility
Subsidiary Jhih-Guang Energy Won the Bid of a Maximum Capacity of 23.3MW, The National Energy Team is Going to Complete the Project on Schedule in October
Taya Group is devoted to energy chain management. In 2022, its subsidiary, Jhih-Guang Energy Co., Ltd., won the bid for the solar and storage integrated project of the Energy Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs with the maximum installed capacity. In addition, together with Bank SinoPac, KGI Bank, O-Bank, Hua Nan Bank, Taishin Bank, Cathay United Bank, and Bank of Taiwan, officially signed the joint credit agreement today (16th) which is a 1 billion NT dollar solar and storage integrated project. It leads the national energy team in marking a new milestone for the green energy industry. Taya Group, with its high-efficiency, stable, and safe professional capabilities, is constructing Taiwan's largest solar and storage integrated facility. This not only expands the Group's energy chain management portfolio but also outlines a sustainable blueprint for achieving Taiwan's 2050 national net-zero carbon emissions goal. Bank SinoPac and six other banks that provide green financial services are once again involved in this financing project, demonstrating their confidence in Taya Group's leadership in leading the green energy industry.
Jointly Constructing Taiwan's Largest Facility Taya Supports Green Energy Policies
In order to enhance power supply flexibility, the government is developing a system that combines energy storage with photovoltaic power generation, aiming to optimize photovoltaic efficiency and address challenges of providing stable solar energy photovoltaic power generation. Taya Group Chairman Shen Shang-Hung stated that the solar and storage integrated facility can transfer solar energy generated during the day, to supplement the nighttime second peak electricity demand. It also assists Taipower in emergency dispatching and rescue, which further increases grid resilience, and ensures the quality of industrial power. It provides multiple benefits.。
Taya Group has been actively integrating the energy chain, providing comprehensive services from energy generation, transmission, conversion, storage, and management. The total capacity of the energy storage system in this project is 70.6MW. With its expertise in the energy field and stable performance in developing energy storage systems, Taya Group secured this project with the largest capacity of 23.3MW. Energy Administration has set a target of 500MW for solar energy storage by 2025. Taya Group responds to government policies and becomes a crucial driver in leading Taiwan towards a green future, highlighting the determination of both the government and private sector to build a sustainable future together.
The maximum capacity of this project will be completed this year, with a total storage capacity exceeding 36.5MW
In this solar energy storage project, a total of 7 corporations have won the bid. They are required to complete the project within one year. Taya's subsidiary, Jhih-Guang Energy, has not only obtained the qualifications to build the largest capacity construction but also demonstrated outstanding engineering management capabilities and efficiency. The project is scheduled to be completed on time in October, setting an example for promoting a green and sustainable supply chain and providing strong momentum for Taiwan's energy transition.
Currently, Taya Group's AFC capacity has reached 13MW, and is capable of supplying 13,000 kWh of power for charging and discharging at any time, ensuring the stable power quality of the national grid. It is expected that by the end of the year, the energy storage system will reach 36.5MW. Taya Group will continue to drive Taiwan's energy transition with its stability, and contribute to the construction of a pristine homeland.
