Taya (1609) is deeply committed to its industry and the continued implementation of corporate social responsibility. On the 7th, the company signed a letter of intent for cooperation with National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School agreeing to provide the wires and cables required for instruction and participation of Hsin Hua students in National Skills Competition free of charge every year. The goal of this program provides products with a total value of approximately NT$ 400,000 per year for the benefit of students is to cultivate a base-level technical talent for the industry.
In recent years, National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School has actively participated in competitive programs of the Ministry of Education. The school has achieved brilliant results in this area and serves as a cradle for the cultivation of base-level electromechanical talent in the greater Tainan area. Since practical training is one of the core areas of vocational education, the costs incurred by the annual purchase of materials required for instruction, training, and external competitions pose a significant burden on the school.
Taya Group has been deeply involved in local communities for over six decades through the provision of low and high voltage wire and cable products and a constant demand for outstanding technical personnel. Based on a spirit of giving back to local communities, Taya made up its mind to sponsor the electromechanical and plumbing departments of the National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School by providing electric wires and cables for instruction and experiments as well as industrial and indoor wiring required for participation of students in national skills competitions and the wire materials required for integrated skills training for three occupational categories free of charge. The total annual value of these materials is NT$ 400,000. Students of this school also receive assistance in its visits to Taya Group affiliated enterprises.
This Letter of Intent for Cooperation was signed by Mr. Chuang, Pa Kuei, General Manager of Taya Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group and Mr. Chen, Chi-Tsung, principal of the National Hsin Hua Industrial Vocational High School. Mr. Huang, Ming-Chin and Mr. Kuo, Shih-Hsien, Director and Vice-Director of the Production Division of Taya Energy & Telecom. Cable Business Group, Mr. Wang, Tai-Yuan, Chairman of the Alumni Association of Hsin Hua Vocational High School, and Mr. Lu, Wei-Jen, Chairman of the Parents’ Association attended as witnesses.
Mr. Pa-Kuei Chang pointed out that Taya Group has gradually expanded its product offerings over the past six decades from the production of generic electric wires to magnet wires, high voltage cables; solar power plants; 69KV high voltage, 161KV ultra high voltage, and 345KV extra high voltage cables. Taya is the first domestic manufacturer and supplier of electric wires and cables in Taiwan to pass the Taipower audits, acquire a carbon footprint label, and issue a CSR report. It is our sincere hope that this innovative CSR action plan will create a win-win situation through industry-academia collaboration for the benefit of students.
Taya also pledges to expand the program to other cities and countries based on actual results to generate greater benefits for more vocational schools in Taiwan.
