During the process of the government's active promotion of energy transformation, offshore wind power has attracted much attention as it involves the establishment of the local industrial chain. The Ta Ya Group also reported on its research results of dynamic submarine cables at a summit held on the 27th of this month. General Manager Chuang, Pa-Kuei of the Energy & Telecom Cable Business Group said that Ta Ya Cable was ready to start manufacturing submarine power cables for offshore wind farms, creating a win-win situation for industries and the general public.
The "2017 Green Energy Development Summit - Wind Power Financing Tactics and Establishment of an Industrial Ecologic Chain International Forum" organized by Hua Nan Financial Holdings Co. Ltd., was held on the 27th of this month. Finance experts, developers and equipment makers were invited to probe into the development of the offshore wind farm industry from different viewpoints. Cheng, Chen-Mao, the Vice Chairman of the Financial Supervisory Commission, stated in his address that having participated in various offshore wind power conferences this year, he is happy to see that new progress is being made, and that the Financial Supervisory Commission pledges to continue to help with relaxing regulations.
The General Manager of Ta Ya's Energy & Telecom Cable Business Group, Chuang, Pa-Kuei, also attended and shared with guests videos of Ta Ya's research results of "dynamic submarine cables". "Dynamic cables," which connect offshore work platforms such as wave activated power generation devices to stationary submarine cables, face many ordeals including the constant impact from waves and the stress and pulling from the displaced platforms.
Chuang, Pa-Kuei said that the "dynamic submarine cable" is a refined version of the 33kV and 161kV submarine cables. As the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs listed submarine cables as an item to be localized, Ta Ya is beginning to establish submarine cable factories to materialize the visions of a green energy powered homeland.
