    TAYA Group, which was founded in 1955, has deep roots in Taiwan. Over a period of six decades, the group gradually expanded from electric wire manufacturing into other business areas including magnet and high-voltage wire manufacturing, solar power plants, and venture capital. The company plays a pioneering role in the domestic wire & cable industry. TAYA was the first domestic wire & cable manufacturer to issue a CSR report, go public in Vietnam, and establish a foundation to realize the vision of a “Pristine Homeland”. TAYA Group has also received wide acclaim for its long-term commitment to green enterprise concepts and fulfillment of corporate social responsibility.
    On November 13 (Tue), Mr. Chuang, Pa-Kuei, General Manager of Energy & Telecom Cable Business Group, signed a cooperation memorandum with Mr. Wang, Rong-Fa, Principal of National Tainan Industrial High School. The Group pledges to provide electric cable and wires for freshmen of the Electrical Engineering Department of said school for educational purposes, industrial wiring for national skill/talent competitions, as well as wire materials required for integrated occupational training (interior wiring and electrical engineering). TAYA Group will also organize power safety related lectures for the school as well as visits and hands-on experiences in affiliated organizations and enterprises of the group for students of the school. TAYA Group aims to set an example for an all-out commitment to giving back to society.
    Principal Wang, Rong-Fa stated that this industry-academia cooperation project between the TAYA Group and National Tainan Industrial High School creates a win-win situation for the group and the school. He pointed out that it benefits the students and injects new blood into the industry. National Tainan Industrial High School, which was established in 1941, actively participates in competitive projects of the Ministry of Education including Senior High School Optimization Assistance Programs, Homogenization/Best Practice Environment/Practical Curriculum Development Projects, as well as the High Scope and Forward-Looking Programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Education, respectively. All programs have achieved excellent results. The school also participates in annual nationwide skill/talent competitions with excellent results. It has made significant contributions in the promotion of technical and vocational education in Taiwan.
