       As we enter the second half of 2022, the climate is changing, summer temperatures are hitting new highs, and the days of living with the pandemic are entering their third year. This year, to share the significance of the power of stability in the post-pandemic era, TAYA Group presents the film “Our Founding Purpose”, which recalls our persistence in being a leader in concept and practice, and our determination in leading the industry, as a driving force in the industry, and continuing to drive the industry in the direction of environmental improvement, protecting our homeland and creating low-carbon cities for the people of Taiwan. “The dramatic changes in the general environment affect the stability of our daily lives,” noted Shang-Hung Shen, Chairman of Ta Ya Group, “the things that we are used to are beginning to change, and I believe we can all profoundly relate to this in the post-pandemic era.        In recent years, ESG has become a global corporate management philosophy, and while major companies are catching on to this green trend, TAYA Group started on this journey many years ago, by set the corporate vision of “becoming the creator of harmonious environment and a pristine homeland”, and has always focused on environmental friendliness from R&D to production. In order to endow a new life to traditional wire and cable industry and create brand value, and further enhance product competitiveness, Ta Ya started right from the source, and lay the foundation for the stable development of wire and cable and enameled wire products, and moved forward into the energy industry. Since 2014, Ta Ya has been developing solar energy industry and strengthening the layout of innovative new energy sector. In recent years, the Group has been actively focusing on the development of energy storage business. “Ta Ya's investment in the innovation and new energy industry is not in response to the ESG trend in the past two years. Environmental sustainability is the DNA that forms Ta Ya, and it is the reason why we keep pursuing high quality. The TAYA Group is committed to protecting the sustainability of its homeland in places where no one can see and before people learn about it. Early on in 2008, TAYA Group had already taken the lead by launching “the first environmentally friendly cable that exceeds the European Union's specifications”, featuring lead-free wires and cables, but also limiting the use of substances listed in the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS). The environmental impact of the product is minimal, soil and groundwater contamination can be significantly reduced, and the material can be recycled. In 2009, TAYA was “the first company to offer lead-free PVC wire and cable”, eliminating the lead content in the insulation layer of cables, which generates toxic gas when burned, thus endangering the environment and human health. In 2019, TAYA was “the first to obtain the industry's only green factory certification,” not only by obtaining the Ministry of the Interior's Green Building Label for its factory buildings, but also by passing the Industrial Development Bureau's Cleaner Production Assessment through its production and operation management, actively moving toward industrial greening and the establishment of a green industry.
