Ta Ya Vietnam Receives its Second National Quality Gold Award; Local Cultivation with Deployment in Southeast Asia

Taya (Vietnam) Electric Wire and Cable Co., Ltd. was honored with the 2016 Vietnamese National Quality Gold Award, it is the first among the foreign-owned wire and cable companies to have received such an honor. The award ceremony took place on April 2 at the Grand Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Defense in Hanoi. Xu Jingyiao, Associate General Manager of the Hai Duong plant, received the award on behalf of Ta Ya.
The National Quality Gold Award is held in high regard by the Vietnamese Government, it is deemed locally as a supreme award. It therefore has many competitors with very high selection standards. In order to qualify for selection, enterprises need to first receive the Quality Gold Award at the provincial level. The National Quality Gold Award consists of two major categories: manufacturing and service. Each category is then divided into big enterprises, and small and medium sized enterprises.
Government officials such as Zhou Yuying, Minister for Science and Technology in Vietnam, and Juan Hungyen, Chief & Vice Secretary General of the Thái Bình Province, all attended the award ceremony. Xu Jingyiao, Associate General Manager, stated that “Ta Ya was first honored with the National Quality Gold Award in 2013, and now again this year. This goes to show that our entire staff has manifested our management ethos: ‘Continuous Improvements’, ‘Mutual Benefits’, ‘Pragmatism’, ‘Innovation and Changes’, and that we all strive collectively towards shaping Ta Ya (Vietnam) into an enterprise that employees, customers, shareholders and the society can trust.”
Ta Ya (Vietnam) is an overseas subsidiary company of the Ta Ya Group, it set up the factory in Dong Nai in 1994 and then the factory in Hai Duong in 2003. It was listed on the Vietnamese stock market in 2006, it was the first wholly foreign-owned company in Vietnam to achieve this. Twenty years later, as the Vietnamese economy develops, Ta Ya’s product range also expands to provide LV and MV electric wires and cables and enamel magnet wires. Ta Ya has not only consistently maintained its product quality but also sufficiently fulfilled its responsibilities as a corporate citizen, while adopting RoHS-compliant materials and launching lead-free cables. Additionally, Ta Ya offers annual scholarships to the communities in a gesture to deliver its corporate social responsibility.
At a time when the (Taiwanese) Government is promulgating the New Southbound Policy, Ta Ya Group has Vietnam as its production base and provides products of the best quality, while actively developing ASEAN markets, such as Myanmar and Laos.
