Sin Jhong Solar Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the TAYA Group, is the first private company in Taiwan to integrate private land where the original fish farm located in a subsidence area was changed to a photovoltaic special purpose area. The company constructed a solar power field with installed capacity of 76MW in the Syuejia district of Tainan City and obtained its power generation business license on May 31. Annual power generation is expected to reach 100 million kWh. Subsequently, there remains to follow a fishery and electricity symbiosis case established in the Qigu district of Tainan by Jhih-Guang Energy, which is expected to be issued in the middle of next year with annual power generation capacity of 150 million kWh.

The construction process went smoothly for Sin Jhong’s Syuejia 76MW Type 1 solar power plant, with the help of local community leaders and the public. In order to give back to the local township where the site is located, the two major shareholders of Sin Jhong Solar Power’s parent company, Ta Ya Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd, intend to team up. These shareholders, Ta Ya Electric Wire & Cable as well as Hengs Technology, will work together to donate local development and disaster relief funds to relevant units for 10 consecutive years in the hope of helping people in need at the local level.

Since May of this year, the pandemic situation in Taiwan has gradually become severe. TAYA Group has stated that in such a difficult time, Taiwan should unite to fight the pandemic, cooperate with the government’s pandemic prevention policy, and provide support to frontline personnel. In addition to the relief funds originally provided this year, the TAYA Group will also donate 500 liters of alcohol and bleach to school district offices in the hope that it can strengthen momentum for local pandemic prevention and contribute to these efforts.
