      TAYA Group, a major energy connection manufacturer, held its annual Family Day a few days ago by gathering TAYA Group family members to conduct beach cleanup activities at Blue Bay Park in Gongliao District. The drizzle could not diminish everyone's enthusiasm as parents brought their children along for a shared experience in response to the Group's vision of "A Creator of Harmonious Environment and Pristine Homeland." This beach cleanup activity cleared out 102 kg of non-recyclable garbage and 89 kg of recyclable garbage. Plastic bottle caps, beverage cups, and plastic bottles accounted for the largest proportion.

       TAYA Group is celebrating its 66th anniversary this year. In order to promote a beautiful home where people and the environment coexist, and to create concrete actions that are environmentally friendly, TAYA founded TAYA Pristine Homeland Foundation in 2011. It further called on employees and their families to participate in volunteer services and contribute to social welfare. 150 TAYA Group and subsidiary employees and their families participated enthusiastically in the 66th anniversary employee Family Day. Unafraid of the drizzle and the low temperatures, they resolutely put on their equipment and went to clean the beach together. Ms. Chiu, an employee, said that she had participated in the company's beach and river cleaning activities before. She said that in the beginning she had more reservations about bringing children along, such as fears over children's skin allergies and the possibility of being slashed by the vegetation. After actually experiencing it, however, she saw that the children's thinking was changed by this activity and their mood has also shifted in recent years. When picking up rubbish, they will also start to reflect on themselves and whether they should also practice environmental protection in their daily lives. In this way, that children gain a subconscious lesson on environmental protection concepts.

       Another employee, Ms. Chou, also said that she had participated in the TAYA Family Day for six or seven years based on environmentally friendly concepts such as environmental protection, living care, and Earth sustainability. She helps with beach cleanups almost every year and she usually brings her children along. In addition to her belief that teaching by example is more important than teaching by instruction, she also considers it a very positive educational experience for her children. She said that although picking up trash may not seem like a big deal, one should do as much as one can. Giving is more blessed than receiving, and she agrees with the company's philosophy of "A Creator of Harmonious Environment and Pristine Homeland" in doing our best for the Earth.

       Meanwhile, an employee named Mr. Hsiao also expressed approval of the company's fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility in the form of "whatever is taken from the people must be used for the people and returned to the people." He said that the company has continuous beach cleaning and tree planting activities, and he will often bring his children to participate. Although the children may understand little, these activities have planted the seeds of environmental protection concepts in their hearts and this awareness of environmental protection can be passed on to the next generation. In particular, when the company develops green electricity and promotes a friendly environment, it becomes even more valuable in today's society. Continuing this philosophy makes a lot of sense.

      On the same day, 102 kg of general garbage and 89 kg of recyclable garbage were removed, and the 150 employees even arranged themselves in the number "66" for a perfect conclusion to announce that the company will continue to fulfill its corporate social responsibility in moving towards its 66th anniversary. Chairman Shen, Shang-Hung of the TAYA Group pointed out that although the Family Day beach cleanup might be a small affair, it brings cohesion and solidarity among employees’ families and colleagues and it definitely has positive significance for society.

        "The vision and the mission are actually not difficult. Just do what you believe, do what you say, and put it into practice step by step!” Chairman Shen, Shang-Hung of the TAYA Group pointed out that the company now pays attention to ESG (environmental, social, governance). In fact, as early as 10 years ago, they reflected on "What kind of company do we want to be?” and "What influence can we bring to the country and to society?" They believed that more can be done, and therefore extended beyond the production of wire, cable, and enameled wire in the industry and into power generation, transmission, conversion, storage, and management. They further set forth the vision of TAYA as "A Leading Brand in Energy Connection," "A Creator of Harmonious Environment and Pristine Homeland," and "A Business Trusted by Employees, Customers, Shareholders, and Society," as well as its mission "Enlightened Employees, Satisfied Customers, Positive Shareholders, and Pristine Homeland." It was not until ESG became a mainstream topic that it was discovered that the original vision and mission constituted the same concept.

      Shen, Shang-Hung said that after more than ten years, the TAYA Group has not only launched the "Green Inside Project" to sponsor environmentally friendly units, but also established TAYA Pristine Homeland Foundation and held the Delonix Regia Forum. Support is given to long-term issues such as renewable energy, rainwater recycling, friendly agriculture, green transportation, environmental education, wildlife protection, and maintenance of Taiwan's culture and history. Beyond this, we regularly organize environmental protection activities to convey the concept of environmental friendliness through personal practice, with activities extending from beach cleaning, river cleaning, to tree planting. In addition, the foundation has launched an "Electrical Safety Inspection for Old Homes" in conjunction with TAYA's wire and cable business to improve living safety through health checks and educate the public on correct concepts of electricity use. At the same time, TAYA Group also aspires to become a green enterprise. It is not only the first company in Taiwan to initiate lead-free cables, but has also obtains a carbon footprint label and become a green manufacturer, thereby gradually transforming into a green power industry chain to diversify energy operations.

     &nbsp In respect to taking care of employees' spirit, Shen, Shang-Hung pointed out that the group's Family Day has been combined with environmental protection activities many times. In addition to being very educational, it can also enrich everyone's life, foster team spirit, fully convey the company's vision and mission, and convince employees of the Group to be consistent with the outside world while doing their best for our shared home.
